Photographing new found confidence with Jo: a story of empowerment…

Just recently we welcomed the lovely Jo to our studio for a Luxury Women’s Makeover Shoot. Jo’s sister had called us before Christmas and had explained how she really wanted to buy a special gift for Jo seen as she never got to treat herself and was always so busy looking after everybody else. With five boys to look after along with her job, Jo was definitely in need of some pampering and downtime to relax and enjoy herself outside of her usual roles. So, her sister decided upon a makeover voucher for Jo for Christmas. After hearing all about Jo, we were all looking forward to her arriving on the big day!

Jo arrived at the studio all set for her shoot, although a little nervous at first. This is usually how most of our ladies arrive – a little anxious but very excited for their makeover and portrait shoot too. As usual, we sat down with a cup of coffee and had a lovely chat with Jo and explained what would happen throughout her shoot. Jo told us that she’d been working hard on her health and fitness, and had lost a lot of weight recently and was feeling much better about herself. This was music to our ears and we knew we’d have a great time with Jo being able to embrace her new-found confidence and show her just how amazing she looks.

Jo had a light makeover with Rachael, our in-house Makeup Artist, that left her skin absolutely glowing and highlighted her gorgeous features. Jo has lovely skin, so it even looked beautiful with just a moisturiser after her mini-facial massage. All of our lovely ladies are treated to a mini facial massage in order to prepare their skin for their makeup application and give them the most luxurious relaxing experience too.

After her makeover it was time to get to work photographing Jo. We had a great time on our shoot and it was a pleasure to see Jo’s confidence grow throughout the shoot and see her fall into the poses that we’d taught her with ease.
