Lifestyle Shoot in London

Last weekend, we were invited to go to London to photograph Saket and his family.

Travelling down on the Friday night we arrived in the city at around 10:30 pm. Our flat next door to the “Prospect of Whitby” the oldest pub on the river, dating back to 1520. Some famous names have frequented this pub, Charles Dickens & Samuel Pepys, and in the 1960s royalty and celebrities like Paul Newman, Rod Steiger, Kirk Douglas and Princess Margaret and Princess Rainer, were charmed by this beautiful place. How different the view looks today.

The two images below show the view from our balcony- after the very wet past couple of months it was wonderful to sit out on this warm summer night and enjoy the calm that you wouldn’t expect to find in the Capital City.

Saturday was thankfully another beautiful day and the sun smiled down on us, as we had our shoot in Canary Wharf. I think perhaps we are going to get a little taste of summer after all!

We took the lift up to the 9th floor and from the  balcony in Sakets appartment we were graced with yet another beautiful view  (see the image below). It is still hard to believe that we are in London it is so tranquil – especially as the Olympics are only a week away. If you look to the left of this image, you can just see the new £70m (should have been £44m- See Boris Johnson talking about this new venture ) Emirates Air line cable car from the Greenwich Peninsula  to the Royal Docks. (For those who like land marks for reference the ExCeL exhibition and the o2 Arena).  The Olympic torch made its way to the top of the 02 Arena this morning.

We had a wonderful shoot with Saket and his family and look forward to seeing them all again soon.
