After the mini heat wave we have had for the past few weeks, it was a welcome relief to have light showers and  cooler weather on the morning of the Christening.

Keira arrived for her christening looking like a little princess in her beautiful dress and veil complete with tiara and a beaming smile we have come to know well. Keith looked so grown up in his trousers and waistcoat with a cute tie – he looked so handsome!

I have photographed many weddings over the years, and although it is the Bride’s prerogative to be fashionably late, I can count on one hand the number of times this has happened. You can imagine the shock on the Vicar’s face when she had to start the christening service without the christening party who arrived over 15 minutes late. A first for me and for the vicar! 🙂 Being very modern in her approach and with a great sense of humour, she told the congregation, “Never mind ‘The Only Way Is Essex’, we should have our own TV cameras here for a version of ‘The Only Way is Lupset!'”

The rest of the day went without any further hiccups, and everyone had a lovely day. The birthday party for Keira and Keith  afterwards was a big hit with the children as ‘Peppa Pig’ put in an appearance dancing and playing with a bunch of excited, happy children.
